Ethics are always in the mind when it come to Wildlife Photography..
Wildlife photographers are prone to the phrase ethical or not.. for example use a captive animal or a wild animal.

This link to the website talks to wildlife photographer and film maker Jeff Hogan about this situation. There is an interview with his talking about..

  • rules that professional photographer have to follow regarded with wildlife
  • Your own personal code with ethics when in the field around wildlife photography
  • about photographer using bait for the attention of animals and its effect on their behaviour
  • about the composition when looking for a good photograph, moving the animal an inch or two across
  • the staging, scenery
There are many more about these question and many other questions, i find it to be worth reading, its interesting about others opinions on ethics in wildlife photography. It also discusses other situations and things that have happened.
