Self Employed 

What is expected when being a self employed photographer, below is a list that will basically inform you what is expected of you...

• Decide on the course of their business 
• Decides how many hours you work
• You can have more than one client 
• provide the client with an invoice  which they receive  fee 
• you are issues with a contract for service rather than a work contract
• no holiday or sickness pay
• correct work that is not up to standard in your own time and at your own price
• own told and equipment

Employed

What is expected of you when your are an employed photographer, situated below is a list that contains some information relating to be employed

• Responsibility for work is taken by someone else
• regular hours of work
• work for company or individual 
• weekly or monthly wage and are eligible for overtime 
• standard number of hours per week
• a contract or letter of employment 
• entitled to holiday pay

Above are two different role you can work in a business, self employed or employed but they both have their perks and the both have there down falls, but depending on which works better for you as an individual depends on who you want your boss to be.
If i was going to go into a photography job at the end of this degree i would most likely go into being employed rather than self employed, only due to the fact that you get to learn the ropes more and then maybe in the further go self employed once having more experience.

Other supplies and guarantees that will most likely to come in handy are stuff like

• Licenses 
• Invoices
• Delivery Note
• Model Release Forms 
• Property Release Forms

These are easy to produce and they are there for yours and the clients benefits incase of any problems. 

starting a photography business does not seem as straight forward and will consist of a large amount of hard work, but once getting it under your belt and producing the documents and other requirements you will be set for life. 

Photography to me is a great way of becoming independent as well as working in a team, it gives you the opportunity to experience to different ways in the professional side of photography and offer great opportunities. Like it says above that both employed and self employed offer perks and down sides but that is part of life, all you want is to make sure that your back is covered incase something goes wrong and with forms like the ones stated above you should be covered.
